Tourist Spots
Different sites recommend diffrent locations for tourist spots, but there are some common places where tourist like to visit in Kuantan. These tourist spots are not far away from kuantan Homestay and only takes less than one hour driving.
Teluk Cempedak
Abbreviated as TC, Teluk Cempedak beach is located only 5 km from Kuantan town center. One of the famous beach in east coast region besides Cherating beach and Balok beach. This beach is really alive all the day and night throughout the year. Visitors come here either to enjoy the scenery or have a good dining where a few restaurants operate nearby. It only takes 15 minutes if you drive for Kuantan Homestay.
Turtle Sanctuary Cherating
Turtles are among the protected animal in Malaysia. Here in Chendor beach, turtle hatchery programs, conservation and research are managed by he Pahang State Government. The Chendor beach is about 35 km from Kuantan Homestay. This place is opened to public from 9.00am to 5.30 pm and 8.00 pm to 6.00 am and is closed on Monday. If you are lucky, you can spot the turtle lay the eggs during the nesting season from April to early September.
Lipur Berkelah
If you like nature and clear water river, this is the place for you. It is easy to access by car and only takes 30 minutes driving from Kuantan Homestay. In Lipur Berkelah, it also has a small waterfall but the road to this waterfall has many potholes at the moment due to last raining season. Will upload the waterfall photo in the future.
